What’s the Deal with Idea & Ink Studio?

What’s the Deal with Idea & Ink Studio?

Spoiler alert: It’s not just an Etsy shop.
It’s a glitter-covered testing ground, a chaos-fueled sketchbook, and the soft-launch pad for all the slightly unhinged creative experiments that might one day graduate to Rebel Aunt status.

So what is Idea & Ink Studio?

Idea & Ink Studio lives over on Etsy, and it’s where I let my creativity off-leash. It's filled with digital designs like tumbler wraps, samurai duck coloring cards, and other fun creations that pop into my head at 2 a.m. and refuse to leave until I make them real.

Think of it as the R&D lab for Rebel Aunt—with fewer rules and more glitter.

Why does it exist?

Running a polished brand like Rebel Aunt means a lot of intentional design, thoughtful product development, and long-term vision.
But creativity isn’t always neat. Sometimes I need a space where I can play, test trends, and get immediate feedback from real customers without overthinking.

That’s where Idea & Ink comes in.

What’s the connection to Rebel Aunt?

While Rebel Aunt is the main show—the heart of the brand, the home of our signature products, and the place where we actually have tea with our chaos—Idea & Ink is the creative warm-up act.

Some of Rebel Aunt’s core products get their start as sparks or seasonal trials in the Idea & Ink shop. It’s also where I build relationships with customers through fun, low-pressure products that still reflect my design style and humor.

You’ll find references to Rebel Aunt throughout Idea & Ink, and sometimes even exclusive previews and opt-ins that lead you back to this very site. Because, while Etsy is where some of my ideas go to party, this is where they grow up and get  scandalous.

Should you visit?

Absolutely—if you like a little digital mischief with your morning coffee.
Just know that it’s not meant to be polished perfection. It’s fun, fast-paced, and sometimes fleeting. (Some listings disappear faster than an ill-advised text.)

And if you're the kind of person who sees a chaos-themed tumbler wrap and thinks, “That belongs in my life,” then you’ll feel right at home.
